Last night I attended a showing of David Fincher’s adaptation of The Girl with the Dragon Tatoo. I was very psyched to see this film, based on the facts that I enjoyed the Swedish version and that I really, really love what David Fincher does. I thought the American adaptation was definitely on par with the Swedish. I think I enjoyed Fincher’s version more, however, because I simply love his style. Rooney Mara and Daniel Craig were awesome, not to mention Christopher Plummer, who has popped up in a couple of my favorite movies this year. Luckily for me, I forgot how the movie ended, so I still got to be surprised when it was all wrapped up. Right now, it’s probably in my top 5 films of 2011.
